About Feelings
The album Feelings is an autumn story about a time when the memory of the summer sun is still alive in us. The opening of the album with the song Purple Love in a bright C key evokes the warmth of summer love, a strong, dynamic guitar intro transforms into the rainy composition Talking Rain, resonating with autumn nostalgia. To lead us through the memories of shared summer journeys, which we now recall in dreams like Walking in Your Dreams, Invisible Feelings, Space Between Us. Ending the album with the song Summer Travel, where the guitar begins with a subtle chord progression, the key of C once again marks its bright, strong color, and we are saturated with musical light…. “…Guitarist and composer Krzysia Górniak is an artist with broad horizons. (…) Her latest album revolves around lighter varieties of jazz, referred to as “smooth” – at least “Purple Love”, the first track on the album, is in this style. The music gradually evolves – in subsequent tracks the artist broadens her means of expression. The whole thing takes on a more jazzy character, which is also thanks to pianist Wojciech Gogolewski. However, everything takes place within the boundaries clearly set by the leader – the album’s atmosphere remains light and relaxing throughout.
“Feelings” (…) positively surprises with its solidity. This applies to both the refined compositions, arrangements, and the guitarist’s playing – her solos are melodic, fluid, dynamically and sonically balanced, free from empty virtuosity, technically perfect.
