ULTRA
Ultra ℗ & © 2004 Diuna ClubAbout Ultra
The Ultra album is a musical story that I created based on sketches I had previously written: fragments of beats, basses, samples, loops and solos. These sketches became pieces – colours, pieces of music saturated with energy. Ultra is a project in the style of electronic nu-jazz with the use of groove samples and strong funky rhythms. The first track Orange is a song sung by Kuba Badach, which is a combination of pop vocals, strong club groove and Santana-style guitars. Orange is a colour that invites you to a party. Gold is a strong funky groove played on Cray Baby. Silver is an urban track with stadium and street sounds in the background, and I double some parts with my voice in a “Benson” style. In the track Black, the tenth on the album, helicopters land in the background, sharp overdriven guitars are doubled with acoustics, it reflects the atmosphere of this colour very well. The song Blue begins with an interesting rhythm, a bit break-like, which is complemented by an intriguing chord progression. There is space, a breath that we catch looking at the color blue… Krzysia Górniak

Review
“The second album in Krzysia Górniak’s career – Ultra, released in 2004 – is full of harmonic, pleasant and very accessible jazz. The artist’s main inspiration for the creation of the songs included on the album were colors – and the emotions that colors evoke or are associated with. After the songs, Ultra is a real musical rainbow…” – Fragment of an article from the portal Gitarzystki.pl
